Comprising of over 20 rappers, it’s arguable the largest hip-hop group in the country and they have one main objective; Run and dominate cyphers in Kenya.
Like every other past week, Msanii check features new talent that have proved promising and on the verge of blowing up. In this week’s edition, we cover 237 cypher crew, a hiphop movement comprising of more than 20 rappers from all over the country all assembled and united by one guy- MC MIKE G- the founder.
Formed in 2012 and based in Thika hence the name 237, the group comprises of rappers from different part of Kenya and is not limited to Thika MCs only. MC Mike G recruits anyone who wants to join the Movement and help him in the recording process and pushing his projects.
Mc Mike G,Wallace, Kemdee, Kappela(coola gang),Magode,Mistavina and Mc Mtemi are some of the members that appeared in the group’s recent project, a cypher done about a month ago, which was well received by the whole hip-hop community with more than 1000 and counting views on youtube and about 1000 downloads on soundclound. It was also made the beat of the week by hot 96 motivating them to working on another 237cypher which is set to be released in three weeks time and be their 4th.
237 has already done 3 cyphers and they are not stopping any soon.The crew is currently working with GKV of Chuo Records, ATL entertainment and Telefinity media and promises to deliver more street cyphers which were started by Room 16 but failed.
